Violin Competition for Amateur Violinists up to 16 Years

From May 30nd to June 1rd 2008 Kroměříž Primary Art School holds the preliminary year of the Archetti in Moravia competition. The competition is held under the auspices of the Zlín Region. This violin competition is assigned for amateur violinists up to 16 years of age.
Záštitu soutěži poskytl houslový virtuóz Josef Suk, který také přijal čestné předsednictví poroty.
Soutěž se koná za finanční podpory Města Kroměříže.
Příspěvek na soutěž poskytla také Hudební nadace OSA.
The aim of competition is to stimulate students to study hard and with concern, to make the public familiar with their work and thus their interest in violin playing.
Winners of the individual categories are offered following prizes:

Apart from this for the prize holders there are also prepared violin string sets Pirastro, which were for this purpose given by the Pavel Celý Service for Musicians Firm. The strings are valued at Kč 500 for the categories „Beginner“ and „Intermediate“, at Kč 2000 (1st prize) and Kč 600 (2nd and 3d prize).
In addition to the first prize winners will be made an offer of performing at a concert of the Zlín B. M. Phil to the accompaniment of this orchestra.
Oproti prvnímu ročníku došlo k několika změnám v pravidlech. Byly změněny skladby pro soutěž v hbitosti. Ve druhém kole byla vypuštěna improvizace.
